Elder Peterson amazed all those in attendance as he shared his thoughts on D&C 4 and the attributes of great missionaries. He went into detail on patience, knowledge, faith, and humility. He has prepared himself for his mission with dedication and will make the transition into missionary life with greater ease for his efforts.
A big thank you to Judy for graciously hosting a "thanksgiving" meal after at her home where we could give thanks for Kevin, and he could not miss out on Turkey this year! It was so much fun. And thanks to all the family who came, ate, and laughed! It was also fun to have a few of President and Sister Peterson's missionaries stop by, it filled a small portion of the huge gap that not having them here leaves in our hearts! Judy commented on how she was glad that the house was filled with people leaving their "spirit shadows" on her new home to help her transition into this new life. I think that the same applies to those cute missionaries who have just come from Ohio, they bring with them "spirit shadows" of Ken & Holly and I personally was grateful for their presence.
As much as our family has grown you wouldn't have know anyone was missing by the number of people gathered at Judy's. However, all afternoon I kept looking around thinking people were missing. It's funny even with large numbers of people those not in attendance were missed. California, Ohio, and St. George families we missed having you with us, but hope these fun photos can help you feel as if you were there!

Thanks for the post Stacie. You forgot to mention the amazing menu that you and your sisters arranged and prepared! After it was all over everyone rolled happily out the door with fuzzy little grins on their faces, patting their tummy's with great satisfaction...mmmm!
