The men froze at the turkey bowl. Frozen turkeys he he. We had a very traditional meal turkey,potatoes,ribbon jello, potatoes, gravy, pies, etc. A lovely set table. and the smallest # at our table that we ever remember. Food was delicious. The company was great. And a birthday to boot. Another year older and wiser too. The following day we ALL got up at 3:30 and kept to tradition (Peterson girls tradition) and hit the sales. For the most part successful too. After that Nikki and Holly spent many memorable hours at a bridal shoot. Beautiful pictures. Sorry I can't post them the groom might see them and that is not allowed. Then in the afternoon we took Brian(the fiance) to tour the Kirtland temple. After which we saw the nativity displays at the Visitors Center in Kirtland and stayed for the Historic sites lighting ceremony. The mayor comes and flips the switch. Unfortunatly after we got home everyone was too tired to play games or decorate the tree - no suprise there. Today (saturday - Nikki and Brian returned to Utah, Ken is having transfer meeting, Kevin & Kory are at the Columbus Temple doing baptisms, and Holly is cleaning, laundry,decorating, and getting ready for transfers next week.

Oh, it all sounds so fun. Thanks for taking the time to share all the details. Man, I sure miss you, Ken, Kevin and Kory ~ (sigh) it must be the holidays and a longing for past traditions and good ol' days of yore! Or, perhaps its the melancholoy Christmas songs on FM100! Anyway... love ya!
PS I talked to Matthew and it looks like we'll take our turn to visit you and all the wonderful things in Kirtland next fall! Keep an eye out for a week that is less busy (hee hee) than any other. We don't want to get in the way of the Lord's work!
